We have these two gorgeous maple trees in our back yard. The leaves turn fiery red, and then float to the ground, pretty much all at the same time.
This year they were excited to get back out there! The sheer delight they had playing in those leaves brings me such joy!
Thanks to Cheryl for hosting Way Back When-esday. It's so much fun to see how much fun the same experience can be so different year after year.

Isn't it so great that something as simple as a leaf pile can provide so much fun and entertainment. My kiddos have loved playing and jumping in the leaves over the last few falls, but I'm worried they many not get that experience this year. Currently, the small amount of leaves we have in our yard is buried under a nice little layer of snow and ice. We need the snow to melt and the leaves to dry before we can do any playing with them. I'm hopeful that that will actually happen in the next week or so, but I'm not holing my breath. :o)
Great photos! Happy Wednesday!
Julia, their glee then and now is just irrepressible! So grateful you're playing along...such fun to compare and see the both the differences and the similarities.
Happy Leaf Season, and happy Way Back When-esday!
